Virtual Lactation Consults

We Help You Reach Your Breastfeeding Goals

Every breastfeeding journey is unique – and our team of expert, compassionate IBCLC Lactation Consults are ready to help you meet your goals from the comfort of your home.

We are in a network with these

insurance providers!

We are currently in network with Aetna. We have also partnered with The Lactation Network to make getting lactation care more accessible than ever. If you have one of the following insurance providers or you have the Multiplan or PNOA symbol on your card, you may be eligible for up to six consults. Click here to check eligibility. Currently, only VA members in Midwest and Eastern regions are accepted through TLN. For all other insurances, we can provide a super bill to submit to insurance for possible reimbursement – HSA/FSA cards are accepted as payment as well. Self pay prices are $150.

Navigating Breastfeeding On Your Own is Challenging

"Is my baby eating enough?
"Is breastfeeding really supposed to be painful?"
"Why does all the advice I see on Instagram not work for me?
"Am I even doing this right?"

Breastfeeding doesn’t come with a guidebook – and it can be downright hard! Booking a virtual consult with our team is the first step toward untangling yourself from information overload and making steps toward breastfeeding progress that actually works.

Book your Consult Today!

Ready to connect with one of our online Lactation Consultants? We can’t wait to help you! Click here for our booking calendar and select the most relevant option. You will have the option to book with the consultant or your choice. If you aren’t sure how you will be paying for the visit, please select the self-pay option (pick this option as well for HSA/FSA), and we will sort it out before the visit. If you have any questions, please text us at ‪(720) 463-4016‬.

After a horrible beginning with my daughter as a newborn, her latch was too shallow and extremely painful. Katie was able to get me on track to find the right support I needed to help get her latching correctly and continue our breastfeeding journey until she was 16 months when the pain returned. Katie again helped me troubleshoot the problems and find the solution to the sudden change. When I was ready to give up, she helped counsel me back to sanity and find the right treatment to get us back on track. I'm hopeful that I can keep it up until my daughter is 2 years old now because of her support. I highly recommend her services.

Your knowledge and communication was the best gift. Thank you for helping me when I was 6weeks pp returning to work and not knowing how many oz my baby needed. Ans thank you for helping guide me into weaning my baby off the breast shield, your knowledge and communication with me at a time that I felt lost and desperate for answers was the best gift you could have given this mama and baby! We went 18m strong breastfeeding because of your page and advice.

Without Katie’s knowledge and this course, I would have thrown in the towel months ago. 10/10 recommend to ANY mom looking to breastfeed.

Hi there!

I'm Katie

Owner of The Breastfeeding Mama

I know firsthand how difficult breastfeeding can be. While things went fine with my first child, I encountered almost every problem you can imagine with my second – and I fought tooth and nail to make it work. I was fortunate to have a good support network, but I got some pretty terrible advice and had to learn a lot on my own.

This took me on a massive journey which led me to a place where I love helping other moms no matter what type of help they need. I became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant so I could help others through the ups and downs of breastfeeding.

I am always learning new techniques and about different topics to better serve more families. I have a passion for oral restrictions, clogged ducts and mastitis, pumping and bottle feeding, and weaning, but I’m equipped to help you with anything you encounter – from first latch to last.

My philosophy is to find a way to make breastfeeding work for you through compassionate and evidence-based care. I am available for virtual consults worldwide and in office and in-home visits in the Littleton, Colorado area.

You May Be

Wondering…

I work with The Lactation Network to get six visits approved through BCBS, Cigna, Anthem, and Humana, as well as insurances that have the PNOA and multi-plan symbols. Click here to verify eligibility.

If your insurance is not covered through TLN, I am able to provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance.

Lactation consults are one of the best ways to identify problems, define your goals, and make a plan to meet them with a professional. I have spent thousands of hours training to be able to meet the unique needs of breastfeeding moms and families.

A consult isn’t just for problems and can be helpful through any stage of breastfeeding! I believe that it’s never too early to seek out help.

We can do just about everything beyond weighing your baby! Each virtual consult begins with a detailed assessment of your needs, and we focus on providing information based on your goals.

I have trained in a broad spectrum of breastfeeding needs, but I have continued training in low milk supply, oral restrictions, clogged ducts, pumping, and flange fitting. I especially love doing prenatal consults!

Virtual consults are available worldwide!
