Types of Consults

I offer a variety of consults for various stages of lactation. Please click the link below to book that type of consult.  I also offer free 10-minute discovery calls if you need help deciding which option is best for you or to see if I’m a good fit for your needs.

Each consult includes two weeks of lactation support, which you can also subscribe to more additional support after that time.

You deserve Support Through Every Stage of Breastfeeding

Are you interested in one-on-one lactation support? Do you have breastfeeding questions that you aren’t able to tackle on your own? Is your baby due soon and you want to have the best start to breastfeeding possible.

A virtual lactation consult might be a great option for you – and I would love to help you wherever you are in the breastfeeding stages. Whether you are pregnant and looking for a prenatal breastfeeding consult, your baby has arrived and you need help navigating some issues, or you are ready to wean, I can help you out.

Virtual consults are a convenient way to get help from the comfort of your home. With the exception of doing a weighed feeding, we can do almost everything that we’d do in an in person consult. Babies often respond well to virtual consults because they don’t have a stranger messing with them!

I am a Certified Lactation Educator and a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist and an IBCLC student, and I am qualified to provide you with high-quality lactation support. I run The Breastfeeding Mama, where I share tons of helpful articles, along with online breastfeeding classes. My goal is to help you make breastfeeding work for you!

I do offer packages at a discounted rate if you feel you might need more than one session.

Most frequent questions and answers

I am not currently in network with any insurance companies, so all services are billed as self-pay. However, I can provide you with a super bill to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Many women are able to get their insurance to cover consults. 

I am a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, Certified Lactation Educator, and an IBCLC candidate who will be sitting for the IBCLC exam in spring 2023. I have helped thousands of moms since 2015 meet their breastfeeding goals. I have also breastfed my own children for over 80 months. 

 

In addition to over 100 hours of lactation-specific training, I have taken courses specifically on induced and relactation, tongue ties, and pumping/flange fitting. 

Virtual consults are a great way to get lactation support from the comfort of your home. We connect through Zoom and go through all of your questions, concerns, and histories. I can observe your baby feeding, walk you through an oral exam, and help come up with a detailed plan of how to make breastfeeding more successful for you. 

Absolutely! You can have anyone present in the consult that you feel comfortable with.

My consults are currently billed at a rate of $100 per session, though it may be less depending on the type of consult (Flange fittings are considerably less)
