Baby’s chin keeps sliding up when attempting to plant chin first and ends up in shallow latch. How to keep chin from sliding??

Hi! This is a great question. I suspect that there is something off with positioning somewhere else, which is making baby a little less stable. Make sure to follow the ABCs of latching, which are:

A - Arms hugging the breast (one on each side)
B - Belly to belly - make sure there are no gaps
C - Chin to breast (which you are doing!)

I would also ensure baby has his/her feet planted against something to help keep them secure. He/she may also need to be angled down a bit more. Definitely check out my latching guide, which you can grab for free below:

If you still need help, book a consult, and I'd be happy to help you further :)

I hope this helps
